Assembly of the Republic of Kosova

Legislative Research

Kosovo Assembly MPs, as well as their colleagues from other parliaments, need to have access to information and updated and accurate research in order to conduct their parliamentary duties effectively. Accomplishment of this task was entrusted to the Directorate for Research, Library and Archive (DRLA), which provides professional research/analysis for MPs and parliamentary committees upon their request and with self-initiative. Leading principles of the work of DRLA are that the research services must be impartial, clear, reliable, professional, and in some cases confidential.

In addition to internal research, in support to the work of MPs and parliamentary committees, external legislative services can also be provided, as is the case with USAID Project “Active external support for parliamentary research”, a project that is financed by USAID and implemented in the Assembly of Kosovo by Kosova Democratic Institute (KDI).
