Dr. Daci Meets NATO Ambassador in Skopje

The President of the Assembly of Kosova, Nexhat Daci, has met today with the Ambasador of NATO in Skopje, Mr. Nicolaais Biegman and has exchanged views in regard with the new development in Kosova and in the region, with a special stress on peace, stability and security. Daci has talked about the actual state of affairs in Kosova and the steps that are being taken towards the democratization and in institutionalization of Kosova. He has stressed that the security for all citizens of Kosova is progressively improving but has noted that there is lack with regard to economic development and has criticized the international administration for not speeding up this process of economic development. He has also noted that the NATO presence is a necessity even after the independence of Kosovo because, he has aid, NATO will be a strong guarantee for peace and stability in this part of Europe. What happens in Kosova is important for Macedonia, has said the Ambassador of NATO in Skopje Nikolaais Biegman, and has stressed the necessity for co-operation between Prishtina and Skopje. He has said that the NATO presence in Kosova is to support the security of all communities in Kosova. As far as the regional is concearned, Mr. Biegman has said that there are positive developments in this respect. Professor Daci has greeted the approval of the Law for the University of Tetova and has expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Albanians of Macedonia are achieving their rights in accordance with the Ohrid Accord. He has fulhartidly supported the stability of Macedonia and has stressed the necessity for the establishment of institutional co-operation between Kosova and Macedonia.
