The Directorate of Protocol and International Relations is responsible for:
a. Implementing the Law on State Protocol, the Law on the Use of State Symbols and rules of protocol and ceremony and the rule for creating inter-parliamentary friendship groups,
b. Technical and professional support for the Speaker and Kosovo Assembly, for creating and strengthening links with the parliaments of other countries, with inter-parliamentary and international organizations and preparations to draft annual plans of international activities,
c. Support for the realization of parliamentary activities that are organized in the Republic of Kosovo, at the initiative or under the patronage of the Speaker of the Assembly, members of the Presidency or parliamentary committees,
d. Technical preparation and organization of official visits outside the country of the Speaker of the Assembly, members of the Presidency and Parliamentary Committees, heads of parliamentary groups, friendship groups and Assembly staff, for programs of visits, tickets, VIP passes, accommodation, visas, transport and hotel reservations;
e. Technical preparation and organization of reception and accompanying of foreign delegations, parliamentary speakers, inter-state parliamentary delegations and invited guests, during visits to the Republic of Kosovo,
f. Organization of solemn sessions, support for regular sessions, meetings, meetings of the Presidency of the Assembly and heads of parliamentary groups, preparation of rooms, placement of flags,
g. Keeping and preservation of records, filing system and securing necessary information for international activities of the Kosovo Assembly,
h. Caring for the exchange of information, gifts, telegrams, etc, by the Speaker or by the Kosovo Assembly within the scope of this directorate.
i. Cooperation with the Cabinet of the Speaker of the Assembly, deputies, the Secretary and other Assembly services for the implementation of international activities and provision of protocol and consular services.
j. Cooperating with the State Protocol, the Office of Consular Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the General Directorate of the Police and the Airport, regarding organization;
k. Realizing other duties relating to the scope of the Directorate which occur during the working process and international relations and protocol activities.
The Directorate of Protocol and International Relations is comprised by:
a. The Protocol Unit,
b. The International Relations Unit.
