The Directorate of Legal Standardization, Alignment and Harmonization, is responsible for:
i. Legal standardization in terms of the legal technique and single methodology for all bills proposed for examination and adoption in the Assembly,
j. Linguistic standardization (correct translation) of texts in Albanian, Serbian and English of bills proposed for examination and adoption in the Assembly,
k. Harmonizing final texts of laws, in terms of the legal technique and single methodology,
l. Preparing preliminary reports on bills as the primary body responsibly in cooperation with the two other respective Directorates in the General Directorate of Legal and Procedural Affairs,
m. Providing support for the drafting of legislation and the drafting of amendments through recommendations given in the preliminary report,
n. Providing professional support to align bills and amendments proposed by parliamentary committees for the purpose of aligning them with EU legislation, and respectively the EU Acquis and applicable international conventions in Kosovo,
o. Providing support for the harmonization of legislation in force and all bills that are processed for examination and adoption in the Assembly through the preliminary report,
p. Providing legal opinions and expertise at the request of the Assembly bodies.
The Directorate of Legal Standardization, Alignment and Harmonization is comprised of:
c. The Legal Alignment and Harmonization Unit, and
d. The Standardization Unit.
